TASK DESCRIPTION Evaluate cost of materials and/or labor Prepare general cost estimates Prepare second tier cost estimates Estimate general expenses Conduct business cases and provide cost estimates for proposed projects Read and interpret plans, maps, drawings and specifications Use computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) and other software systems Evaluate costs prior to contract award ● Follow quantity takeoff procedures Implement monitoring and reporting processes Prepare and maintain directories of suppliers and specialty trade contractors Communicate and liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors and consult with them on changes and adjustments to cost estimates SKILLS AND APPLICATION CRITERIA Ability to work in a team environment Relevant experience in miscellaneous metal or structural steel drawings WE OFFER Excellent working conditions Group insurance, details provided upon request Equipment and work software up to date with new technologies Workplace: Terrebonne
