A leader in international aerospace and defense design, development and operation of airborne surveillance aircraft, line maintenance, heavy maintenance checks and modifications, we provide a wide range of aviation and related services to domestic and international markets.We're adding to our team in St. John's, NL, and are looking to hire an Upholsterer who wants to be on the cusp of innovation in working with PAL Technical Services.As an Upholsterer your main duty will be to carry out upholstery operations on aircraft interiors. You will also be responsible for, but not limited to, the fabrication, installation and repair of upholstery for aircraft galleys, dividers and other furnishings, including aircraft seats and interior furnishings, walls and other interior areas.Duties and Responsibilities:A diverse position requiring skills to fabricate and maintain aircraft interiors including replacement of carpets and vinyl floorings, cutting of fabrics, leathers and foams for aircraft seats and the replacing of sidewall panel, overhead bin and bulkhead coverings with new (Tedlar) would be a particular asset.Cutting/laying of carpet and vinyl flooring.Ability to laminate (remove/install Tedlar decorative covering) on aircraft interiors, sidewalls, overhead bins and bulkheads.Safely apply adhesives and handle regulated materials (foams, fabrics, leathers).Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year Upholstery experience, supported by Education or equivalent.Meticulous attention to detail.The ability to provide results and meet deadlines is an absolute must.What we offer:Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Defined Contribution Pension PlanEmployee Stock Purchase PlanEmployee Tuition Assistance ProgramEmployee and Family Assistance ProgramPersonal travel privileges with PAL and interline agreements with multiple airlinesPAL Technical Services is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment that celebrates and encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion whereby individuals are recognized, supported, and respected.
