We are looking for a Warehouse Technician to join our Residential team in Iqaluit, NU. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be critical to our delivery of world-class customer service that depicts pride of ownership and respect for our residents. Responsibilities: Ensuring safety, complying with Northview's Health and Safety requirementsMaintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse, workshop, and yard, ensuring they are free from tripping hazards and clutterTrack and catalog inventory quantities of all supplies/materials in warehouse, shop, and yard (seacans)Monitor inventory levels and replenish materials and supplies, ensuring stock levels are adequate for current and future demandObtain quotes and create purchase orders for necessary materials for local purchasing, air freight purchasing, sealift purchasing activitiesCoordinate logistical activities for material purchases to ensure timely receiving at the warehouse, workshop, yard, or propertyReceive materials (can include loading and unloading heavy appliances, materials, and cargo) and ensure proper storage and entering items into inventoryAssist maintenance technicians with loading/unloading materials and appliances into vehiclesConduct regular upkeep and maintenance of tools, ensuring they are in good working conditionRegularly clean out dust collection containers and dispose of sawdust and other waste materialsMaintain and manage garbage bins, ensuring timely disposalGroundskeeping responsibilities, including shoveling entrances and walkways in winter, applying sand for traction, and general maintenance of the lot in all seasonOther warehouse duties as required Qualifications: Adequate computer skills for inventory management and quoting systemsFamiliarity with inventory control systems and warehouse management practicesAble to provide a criminal record check that is free of relevant convictionsIf using a company vehicle, provide annual driver's abstract and proof of a valid driver's licenseAble to lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying weather conditionsExperience with and ability to drive forklifts, zoom booms, or telehandlers (specific certification/licensing preferred)Basic mechanical skills for handling and maintaining workshop tools and equipmentAttention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environmentAbility to work independently and collaborate with maintenance staff when required Benefits: Competitive payExtended health care including medical, dental, and vision coverageLife insurance, drug coverage, and wellness programsDiscounts on rent at Northview propertiesVacation Travel Assistance for Northern employees If your background matches the qualifications listed above and you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the communities we serve, please submit your resume in confidence. Please note, only those candidates chosen to continue to the next stage of the selection process will be contacted.
