What you’ll do: We are looking for a Safety Clerk who is enthusiastic, has outstanding organizational skills, a high attention to detail, and delivers excellent service. The Safety Clerk will assist in the ongoing development and administration of the Health and Safety Management program and in general administrative support to senior leadership.Reporting to the HR/Safety Manager, the Health & Safety Clerk will assist with: Workplace inspections, investigations, and safety audits and plan site-specific implementation of COR initiatives Monitoring safe work practices and procedures, hazard identification, policies/procedures, manuals, and forms throughout all locationsMaintaining records/logs of workplace accidents, hazards and near-misses Coordinating and facilitating health and safety training for employees, maintaining training records, and ensuring safety permits are up to datePresenting at Health and Safety committees and meetings The employee onboarding processWCB claims and Return to Work (RTW) programsCreating/maintaining accurate files ensuring confidentiality at all timesAssist with benefits orientation for all staff and answer inquiries regarding benefits as neededTravel to all Lakeland Co-op locations will be required.
