Smartphones Hardware Engineer for Smart phones/tablets repairJoin our team in a position that lets you grow with us Blackapple Cellular is seeking an engineer for our store at Downtown, Victoria, BC Location. Job Summary: Must have previous iPhone, iPad and android repair experience or Do Not Apply Diagnoses and performs repairs on all smart phones and tablets- android & iPhones both mandatory. Skills: Assembly and cosmetic mobile device refurbishment experience. Surface-mount soldering experience is a must Troubleshooting and assembly skills for mobiles / laptops and computers. Experience on repairs for domestic electrical equipment is a plus Sound knowledge of networks / telecommunications equipment and infrastructure is a plus. Experience with PCs / laptops in a Windows operating system, basic MS Office packages and web based applications. An eye for user’s requirements and convincing power / ability. A thirst for finding, studying and optimizing performance of equipment with new technological advances. Good team spirit and willing to train / teach junior technician. Market evaluation and bargain skills for required spares / products requirements. Main Duties will include: Perform routine inspection, testing, and repair of smartphones and other mobile devices. Determine the cause of problem through preliminary checks on the devices. Circuit tracing, identifying various chipset and pins associated for repair work. Perform high quality repairs and refurbishment of electronic devices: phones/tablets/laptops/GPSs/ etc. Proficiency in reading electrical / electronic diagram or circuitry and circuit tracing for repairs / refurbishment. Study the design, operation of each electronic component / equipment to evaluate its functionality with other control systems. Accurately document repairs and parts information on repair tracking documents / work orders and in point of sale computer tracking system. Document in detail each repair work been carried out and make it available for ready reference during toolbox meeting. Ability to modify, develop and integrate new and old hardware / equipment to provide refurbished systems as per clients requirements. Read and translate repair documents and videos. Share experiences and learning's with other technicians throughout the company via online forums and electronic media. Help develop skills within team resulting in improved assets. Perform preventive maintenance or cosmetic make over as per requirements. Monitor parts inventories and inform management of status. Foresee the technological advances and market trend for inventory management in this fast-paced business model. Dismantle old electronic devices for OEM parts. Carry out regress test on refurbished products to ascertain the quality output. Simulation of design upgradation and benchmark testing of newly launched devices. Interact with customers as needed, providing exceptional customer service. Resolve the queries of customers with regards to operational fundamentals of apple products. Keeps work area clean and sterile. Troubleshooting of laptop, computers, tablets and smart phones. Networking settings as per client’s requirement at residential or commercial premises. Qualifications: Apple Certified Service Professional 10.12 (ACSP) is mandatory. Certification in Mobile repairing is mandatory. Bachelor’s degree in engineering field is must. Management or Administration Studies is a plus. We will check references with previous employers.
