Job Description

Perform maintenance and repair tasks on Air Transat's ground equipment and heavy and light vehicles. Diagnose breakdowns on company trucks and vehicles. Perform preventive maintenance on conventional and diesel engines; Carry out mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs on various equipment; Perform various welding tasks; Perform all other related tasks.

Qualifications

Qualifications for the heavy vehicle mechanic are :

Training in vehicle mechanics or equivalent; Experience in the mechanical field Bodywork experience with welding skills (mig and tig), Experience and good skills as a painter; Experience in electrical troubleshooting and blueprint reading an asset Strong desire to learn all facets of the trade Team spirit, resourcefulness, ability to meet tight deadlines and attention to detail. Good knowledge of propane, electric, diesel and gas-powered equipment; MOT card (Transport Canada Pass) Valid class D driver's license. Ability to obtain RAIC card and DA drivers permit (Airport pass from Transport Canada);
