The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and managing financial aid programs, scholarships, and grants for our students. The role requires a thorough understanding of federal and provincial financial aid regulations and policies, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Responsibilities:Administer and manage financial aid programs, scholarships, and grants for studentsProvide information and guidance to students on financial aid options and requirementsAssist students with completing financial aid applications and documentsMonitor and maintain accurate records of financial aid awards and disbursementsEnsure compliance with federal and provincial financial aid regulations and policiesCollaborate with admissions and academic departments to coordinate financial aid services with student enrollment and course selectionAnalyze and evaluate financial aid data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving financial aid programsPrepare financial aid reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholdersProvide excellent customer service to students, parents, and other stakeholdersRequirements and Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience in financial aid administration, preferably in a post-secondary education settingThorough understanding of federal and provincial financial aid regulations and policiesExperience with financial aid software and systemsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and accuracyCommitment to student success and access to higher educationPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) and other provincial financial aid programsFamiliarity with private career college regulations and policies in OntarioExperience with Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) softwareBilingual in English and FrenchEducation:Diploma or degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field If you are a self-motivated individual with a passion for helping students access higher education, then we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Financial Aid Officer at our Ontario career college in Ontario.Accessibility and Equal Employment Opportunity statement:CIMT college is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and accessible work environment.
