JOB PURPOSEThe Psychologist – Addictions and Mental Health, is responsible for providing professional clinical psychological services.QUALIFICATIONSMust be licensed as a Psychologist under the New Brunswick College of Psychologists Act.Ability to attend work on a regular basis.Ability to perform the duties of the position.Good work record.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Psychologist – Addictions and Mental Health is responsible for: Preparing for, administering and interpreting psychological testsAssessing clients and developing and implementing treatment plansDeveloping and facilitating therapeutic interventions for individuals and groupsProviding emergency/crises intervention/stabilization servicesParticipating in interdisciplinary care planningMaintaining clinical records and documentationBuilding relationships with critical stakeholders in government and the communitySupervising and overseeing the work of psychometrists or psychology assistantsEmployees are responsible to be aware of and understand Horizon’s Terms of Employment COMPETENCIES IDENTIFIED BY HORIZON HEALTH NETWORK: Analytical ThinkingFlexibilityGroup FacilitationMentoringPatient/Client FocusPlanning and Prioritizing WorkProblem SolvingTeamwork and CollaborationInterested?
