This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of ferrous/non ferrous metals, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.What you're responsible for:Conducting thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specificationsIdentify and segregating non-conforming materials, such as contaminants or prohibited itemsUtilizing appropriate tools and equipment to measure and verify the weight, dimensions, and composition materialsCollaborating with the operations team to coordinate the movement and storage of materials within the yardCommunicating and reporting any deviations from quality standardsQualificationsWhat you bring to the team:You have previous experience working in a heavy industrial work settingYou have strong communication skills with experience coordinating across multiple departmentsYou have high attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and qualityYou are able to learn new processes and systems quicklyYou are adaptable and flexible with the ability to adjust priorities as needed
