Job DescriptionThe Division of Endocrinology is seeking two full-time associate endocrinologists: one for Brampton Civic Hospital and one for Etobicoke General Hospital.The successful candidates will join a collaborative team in delivering full-time inpatient and outpatient endocrinology care and have access to an excellent diabetes education centre with a full range of nuclear medicine resources. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.AccountabilitiesParticipate as a member of the division in providing call coverage at one of the hospital sitesProvide patient follow up in their community-based practice located in the central west catchment areaAbout the ProgramThe Endocrinology program has a robust of resources available to provide excellent endocrinology care in hospital and in the community. We have a well-established diabetes education program and the ability to treat thyroid diseases with radioactive iodine. The Centre for Complex Diabetes Care located at Brampton Civic Hospital has a team of nurse practitioners, nurses, dieticians and pharmacists to provide care to the most complex diabetes patients.QualificationsAccredited medical degree (or equivalent)Certification and/or Fellowship in Endocrinology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC)License to practice and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of OntarioExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSound critical thinking and problem-solving skillsProven track record of attendance, punctuality and accountabilityModels behaviour that aligns with Osler’s Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationExpertise in clinical teaching or clinical research preferred for those interested in education or researchAdditional InformationOsler is a primary clinical partner for Toronto Metropolitan University School of Medicine and is an academic community partner with the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine and McMaster’s Michael G.
