Reporting to the Senior Superintendent, the Junior Superintendent plays a key role in supporting Field operations on larger projects from planning through completion and may independently manage smaller projects or specialized areas. Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site Oversee Site Operations: Manage staffing, quality, safety, and subcontractor coordination to deliver projects on time and within budgetPlan & Schedule: Develop site logistics, project schedules, and look-ahead plans; determine construction methods and resourcesLead & Mentor Teams: Hire, train, and guide foremen and field staff to ensure strong team performanceEnsure Compliance: Enforce safety programs and adherence to drawings, specifications, and company standardsCollaborate on Delivery: Support budgeting for self-performed work, resolve claims, and maintain strong relationships with project teams The Right Tools for the Job Education: Background in construction management or related field (preferred)Skills: Proficiency in structural concrete, steel, and timber construction; scheduling, safety compliance skills; familiarity with construction softwareExperience: 4–10 years in construction with at least 2–4 years in a supervisory role; proven ability to manage projects up to $15M and lead mid-sized teams#LI-Onsite #AlbertaCareers #Construction #Site Superintendent COME AND GET YOUR BOOTS DIRTY With a significant presence in the construction, industrial maintenance, and turnaround sectors, Jardeg is the largest recruiter of skilled trades in Canada.
