Position Overview Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital the Housekeeping Porter is responsible for performing various cleaning functions/services throughout all areas of the Hospital campus; understanding and following Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) guidelines; and performing other related duties as assigned. Experience Not Applicable Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade 10. Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to interact well with others. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to adapt readily to fast-paced situations. Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature. Physical Requirements Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, twist and reach continuously throughout the entire shift. Ability to lift a minimum of approximately 50 lbs./23 kgs. Ability to lift, push and pull heavy weights, climb ladders/skyjack/scissor lift.
