Job DescriptionPre-cleaning and high-level disinfecting of flexible endoscopes in the GI MDR reprocessing area both decontamination and clean reprocessing. Set-up and cleaning of GI procedure tables. Turnover of the procedure rooms. General tidying of the department. Monitoring supply levels and ordering and stock procedure rooms with supplies as necessary. Other duties as required.You will be responsible for ensuring that the Medical Device Reprocessing Department provides reprocessed items to patients and clients throughout the organization in a manner that adheres to guidelines and standards set by organizations such as CSA (Canadian Standards Association), PIDAC (Provincial Infections Diseases Advisory Committee), CSAO (Central Service Association of Ontario) and Health Canada. The MDRT is also responsible for effectively communicating with the clients in the workplace in order to ensure all their reprocessing needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.QualificationsMinimum grade 12 education requiredCurrent certificate from a recognized college Medical Device Reprocessing Course required; combination of in-class and apprenticeship hours required; OREquivalent combination of education and experience will be considered: MDRAO (CSAO) or CSA Certification with minimum one-year relevant experience in Medical Device Reprocessing. Demonstrated experience using reprocessing equipment. For example, washer disinfectors, steam sterilizers, low temperature sterilizerReprocessing of flexible endoscope experience is an assetExcellent communication skills - both oral and written EnglishAptitude for working with delicate and heavy equipmentAbility to meet the physical demands of the positionSatisfactory employment and attendance record requiredMust be comfortable working alone if the situation occursAdditional InformationHours: Monday - Friday, hour shifts; 0700-1500; 8:30-16:30; 0900-1700; 1000-1800; 12:00-20:00; stand by on weekends and holidays 7am-11pm (Hours subject to change based on operational requirements) Salary: $ - $ per hourDate Posted: November 4, 2025Internal Applications Due by: November 11, 2025REF2875J
