You’ll learn how to deal with chemicals in dynamic environmentsTraining provided: We will set you up for a successful career through on the job training with new equipment and safe handling procedures for chemicalBe a part of a true team. Our work is difficult but we get it done safely, with great people, all while having a laughNew equipment to run: low pressure unit fleet is all brand newOpportunity for out of town work: 15% of the time you get to visit our other regions across CanadaKey Duties and Responsibilities:Operate and maintain chemical cleaning equipment and other specialty toolsComplete minor maintenance and checks on equipmentEnsure safety for all team members and propertyProvide quality services to our clientsWork as part of a team and follow direction from supervisionLearn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipmentLeave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job doneComplete required paperwork for projects and jobsRead work orders and designate proper hoses, chemicals and other equipment required job. If unsure, seek advice of supervisorEnsure equipment is properly decontaminated at end of jobOther duties as assignedQualifications:Valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with no more than 5 demerits in last 3 years is required1+ years’ experience in an industrial environment requiredAble to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol testCSTS-2020, H2S Alive, First Aid w/ CPR & AED, Fall Protection certifications are requiredExperience in the following Industrial Chemical Cleaning Projects is an asset:Exchanger Cleaning – 3 Stage Washes, Acid Washes, Cleaning –Various Chemical Washes with Passivation and Phase – Various scopesTank Cleaning – Circulation, separation, and Blows – Decompression, Pulse, and Continuous Air Blows. N2 Purging.Familiarity with large bore pumping systems (skid pumps and chemical trucks).Experience working with the following industrial chemistries is an asset:Hydrochloric, Sulphamic, Formic and Nitric AcidCaustic, Ammonium Biflouride, Soda AshVarious degreasers and degassing chemistriesSkills:Strong mechanical aptitudeYou are safety focused when it comes to people and equipmentPerform physically demanding work (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditionsYou have the ability to work well in a team, share a laugh with your coworkers and get the job done safelyAdditional InformationThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
