Bird is a place where you will unlock your potential and achieve your goals.Student Project CoordinatorWhat You’ll Be Working OnOur internships and Co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. We’ll help you discover your strengths and development areas in a challenging, fun, and supportive work environment.Projects are scoped in alignment with your term length and typically focus on a current construction project.We are seeking a student to join us for a 8 month co-op position starting in May 2026. This role will be based out of Calgary.Responsibilities:Project Coordination:Coordinate drawings and work specific scope/trades.Review trade quotes, verify material quantities, hours, and rates.Participate in project meetings.Conduct deficiency walks and update deficiency logs.Issue warranties.Take and coordinate progress photos.Update field drawings and produce as-built drawings.Field Coordination:Perform quantity takeoffs.Coordinate sub-trade work.Verify site conditions and coordinate with drawings.Supervise sub-trade work.Set up and maintain record keeping.Layout site lines and grades using total station.Scheduling:Update project schedules.Create manual schedules and update schedulesObtain scheduling information from sub-trades.Create and maintain graphical schedulingMonitor manpower productivity.This job description outlines the general nature and level of work performed by the Student Project Coordinator.
