They are responsible for maintaining an updated mis-en-place list, meeting quality standards, and ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen. What will you be doing? You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:Work effectively as part of the team to produce high-quality foodEnsure that workstation opening and closing procedures are completed to standardComplete daily station checklists to ensure everything is prepared for servicePrepare necessary food items as directed by the Chef de Partie / Sous Chef in accordance with standards in a timely and efficient manner to ensure there is no interruption to guest serviceProperly and safely operate kitchen equipment, report any required maintenance or repairs to the Executive Chef / Chef de Cuisine immediatelyKeep overproduction and food waste to a minimum to reduce food cost expensesAdhere to recipes and menu specifications to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are metFill in the daily production board and daily ordering requirements as neededMaintain standards by keeping workstations and the kitchen area clean and organized, always adhering to health and safety practices including safe food handling and preparationMaintain organization and cleanliness of all food storerooms, including fridges and freezersProperly label, store, and rotate food items to prevent excess wasteParticipate in daily stand-upsOther duties as assignedWhat are we looking for?To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following: Minimum 1 years’ experience in a professional kitchenPassion for the culinary artsExcellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)A positive and respectful attitudeQuick learner and ability to retain knowledge and skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detailValid FOODSAFE Certificate requiredWHMIS certification preferredMust be able to stand up to eight hours, and move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistanceAvailable to work a flexible schedule, a minimum of three days per week (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) based on business volumes and operational demandsPerksEmployee discounts on accommodations, dining and marina at our sister properties (Hotel Eldorado, Manteo Resort, Eldorado Marina, Hampton Inn & Suites Kelowna Airport, Four Points Kelowna, Home2Suites)An excellent work environment, with a focus on staff recognition and teambuildingRoom for growth and development Don't miss this exciting opportunity to join our Eldorado Resort family
