QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceRegistration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. Basic Cardiac Life Support, Level C.Completion of recognized post-basic education in gastroenterology/GI endoscopy nursing and/or Urodynamics, ORSuccessful completion of the gastroenterology nursing training program within 3 months of hire, OR An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in Endoscopy, Urodynamics, minor surgical speciality clinic and procedural sedation.Skills And AbilitiesDemonstrated ability to provide client and family-centered care through a trauma-informed, cultural safety and humility approach and evidence-informed practice Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of an inter-professional team Demonstrated knowledge of Endoscopy clinic/surgical ambulatory clinic foundational nursing practice Demonstrated effective written, electronic, and verbal communication to facilitate inter-professional collaborative practice, healthy and respectful workplace for clients, staff, students and partners/affiliates Demonstrated ability to understand and navigate other disciplines scope of practice in relation to one's own Demonstrated ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data from multiple sources to problem-solve effectively Demonstrated ability to provide health education with clients and others about topics essential to healthcare, health promotion, and chronic disease self-management Demonstrated ability to manage time, triage client needs, and resources effectively Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of care planning and care coordination, including knowledge of Primary Care programs and services Demonstrates professional self-awareness, developing and implementing own learning goals for continuous learning and professional development Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment including applicable software applications Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
