Hybrid No Job Description Weighscale OperatorPublic Works – Waste ManagementStatus: 1 Long Term Contract Part Time, Duration: 21 monthsSalary Range: $31.11/hr to $38.89/hrHiring Range: $31.11/hr to $35.00/hrWork Mode and Location: Onsite at 2255 Battleford Road, Mississauga (Battleford CRC)Hours of work: Week one : Friday Saturday and Sunday 7.75 hours 8:15am to 4:45pmWeek 2 Saturday and Sunday 7.7 hours 8:15am to 4:45pm May through October additional 3.75 hours Monday nights 4:30pm to 8:15pmThe role: Reporting to the Team Lead, you will be responsible for the daily operations, including the start up and shut down of the weighscale, data processing equipment, cash handling and balancing.What you’ll do:Weigh vehicle contents and direct customers to the appropriate location for disposal.Adhere to pertinent regional policies and regulations. Deal with customer inquiries and incoming telephone calls.Make appropriate financial transactions Create, maintain and distribute end of day reports through proper opening and closing procedures. Other duties as assigned.What we require:Successful completion of a secondary school diploma combined with one (1) year related experience. (an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered)Strong customer service focus with point-of-sale experience. (cash handling)Intermediate knowledge of computer equipment required.Basic bookkeeping, mathematical and computer skills.Valid class "G" Ontario License and daily access to a vehicle.Police Record Check level 1. Skills/Abilities: Interpersonal skills to resolve and respond to internal and external clients.Proven organization skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively.Strong communication skills.
