The selected individual will be reporting to our office in Burlington ON. #LI-Onsite The Role  The Senior Electrical Designer will provide engineering support through the application of extensive and comprehensive knowledge, of electrical engineering and instrumentation design principles and practices, in the performance of all electrical and I&C discipline design work. Expected: Technical diploma from a post-secondary institution or higher 10+ years of experience in the Power, Utility, Mining and Industrial sectors Experience with Renewable Energy sectors is considered as an asset Experience with AutoCAD and 3D Modelling packages, such as Revit and Aveva E3D Solid knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, Canadian electric utility industry practices, CSA Standards, and the Ontario Electrical Safety Code Electrical and I&C design in AutoCAD including generation of single line diagrams, motor schematics, power, lighting and cable tray layouts, P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, I/O lists, bill of material (BOM) Electrical design in AutoCAD for substation (high voltage and medium voltage), equipment installation details, grounding and conduit layouts Perform design with minimum supervision from the project engineer or manager Excellent verbal and written communication skills Comfortable to conduct site visits and collaborate / communicate with construction and maintenance crew, plant operations, and the client Resourceful team player with self-starter aptitude Ontario or EIT is considered as an asset  Current authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required undefined
