Our work is difficult but we get it done safely, with great peopleKey Duties & Responsibilities:Operate and maintain vacuum trucks, high pressure water equipment and various specialty tools90% of your day is outside of the truck, boots on the groundProficient in driving manual transmissions.Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labor intensive capacityClimb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment – our experienced crew has your backEnsure safety for all team members and propertyWork as part of a team and follow direction from supervisionWork outdoors in a variety of weather conditionsLearn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipmentComplete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports and safety documentsChallenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every timeStrictly observe and enforce all company and client safety requirementsOther duties as assignedRole SpecificationsValid class AZ or DZ licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last two years1+ years of directly related work experience driving/operating vacuum truck, chemical cleaning equipment, high pressure/water trucks and/or combo units is considered an assetDriving is in your nature, then passing CEDA’s Driver Assessment in a manual transmission will be a breeze (10, 13 and 18 speed)Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol testAble to travel throughout Ontario (flexibility in scheduling is required)Skills:Strong mechanical aptitudeYou are safety focused when it comes to people and equipmentExperience and comfort with confined spacesPerform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment and air supply; wearing a full face mask and carrying your own source of oxygenYou’re happiest working in a team, sharing a laugh with your coworkers and getting the job done safelyAdditional InformationThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
