These apps and transportation providers rely on data standards to structure and exchange this information on things like subway routes, bus schedules, network disruptions, fares, and many other useful pieces of passenger information.  GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) is a widely adopted open standard used by several thousand agencies across the globe such as the New York MTA, Tokyo Metro, and Paris RATP. This standard facilitates the dissemination of transit information to passengers through popular apps like Apple Maps, Google Maps, Transit, and Moovit. At MobilityData, our mission is to enhance the traveler experience through the usage of open data standards for the mobility ecosystem in order to empower people to travel in the most sustainable ways across the globe. Our work includes facilitating discussions to advance standardization efforts for the benefit of global users, proposing new functionalities, and offering support through comprehensive documentation and training. What You Will Do The Global Events and Programming Manager drives MobilityData's global engagement strategy by transforming organizational objectives into impactful events and programming. Working closely with the Membership + Programming Lead, Regional Directors, and internal teams, this role enhances global visibility and member value. It requires creativity, operational excellence, and strong cross-cultural collaboration. Key responsibilities include leading global event execution, supporting regional marketing and outreach, and delivering a sustained calendar of online programming that reinforces MobilityData's leadership and presence worldwide. Responsibilities Regional Partnership and Outreach Support Translate regional business and engagement priorities into concrete event and programming plans, securing alignment from Regional Directors.Identify and cultivate regional partnerships that strengthen event delivery and local activations, ensuring consistency with global engagement strategies.Understand and work within MOUs, contracts, and sponsorship agreements to guide event collaboration.Manage external partners, sponsors, and speakers to co-create events that deliver mutual value, in coordination with the Global Engagement Director.Collaborate with Communications to amplify regional activities and ensure cohesive, high-visibility messaging across all audiences. Global Event Delivery Ensure all events align with organizational priorities and deliver clear value to members and stakeholders, in partnership with the Membership & Programming Lead.Lead end-to-end planning, logistics, and execution of global and flagship events, with final approval from the Global Engagement Director.Maintain an up-to-date database of past and prospective speakers and panelists.Coordinate outreach and logistics for speakers, panelists, and attendees in collaboration with Product and Engagement teams.Oversee event timelines, budgets, vendors, and speaker relationships to ensure high-quality, cost-effective delivery.Collect and analyze attendee data and feedback, producing post-event reports within 30 days to inform future strategy. Online Programming (Public & Member) Develop and deliver a dynamic calendar of online programming, including public webinars, trainings, panels, and facilitated discussions, both hosted and in partnership with external contributors.Support the Membership & Programming Lead in executing member-exclusive events and ensure programming aligns with member interests, organizational priorities, and engagement goals.Oversee logistics and platform management to ensure smooth execution and a high-quality participant experience.Track attendance, engagement, and feedback to continuously enhance programming quality and relevance.Collect and analyze attendee data and performance metrics, producing post-event reports within 30 days to inform future strategy. Who You Are Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a relevant field. 3 + years of experience in events, programming, or marketing within a global or membership-driven organization.Demonstrated marketing capabilities tied to measurable growth and the ability to build partnerships supporting regional and global objectives.Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams across regions and time zones.Proven ability to manage complex in-person and virtual events involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and a self-starter mindset.Comfortable in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with competing priorities.Bilingualism (English and French, Spanish or Japanese an asset).
