The Mill Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a multi-discipline team, providing maintenance and operational support. What You'll Do: Supervise a team of Welders, Pipefitters, and a Carpenter who provide maintenance and operational support for Break-in work, Normal Run and Shutdown Activities. Participate in regular and extended shutdown coordination and planning to effectively implement activities. Work with the engineering group to coordinate major maintenance activities including capital projects. Professionally carry out duties following Nutrien safety principles and priorities. Direct their area of responsibility to achieve the highest standards in all aspects, including safety, employee relations, production, cost, and effective utilization of the resources available. Direct, adjust and cease work activities to ensure employees are performing safe and productive work. Support the efficiency and reliability of the Maintenance Department systems and equipment by liaising with Mill Operations and Engineering Departments. Respond to scheduled and unscheduled callouts and assist other supervisors, planners and schedulers with shutdown maintenance planning. Keep peers and subordinates informed on operations, particularly calling attention to changes, abnormalities and new problems as they arise. Regularly promote and engage in continuous improvement, recommending alterations or modifications to existing systems, providing technical advice to personnel for improving maintenance and operating reliability and efficiency. Support coordination and supervision of Service Provider activities, as required. What You'll Bring: Journeyperson Certificate or technical designation in the related field required, combined with 3-5 years of experience in an industrial environment. Excellent knowledge of maintenance, planning, scheduling and asset management. Preference will be given to candidates with supervisory experience in a unionized and/or mill processing environment. Demonstrated leadership skills including strong team building and communication skills. Thorough organizational and computer skills. Experience with EAM, Viziya, and Microsoft applications. Ability to handle a large and varied workload prioritizing work tasks with minimal supervision. A strong commitment to safety with knowledge of OH&S, Mine and Environmental and other jurisdictional regulations, Company Policies and Procedures, and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
