Description :Major Job FunctionsTroubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar and other Forestry type equipment in field environmentInterface with customers, products and sales supportProviding support with reference to on-site safety requirementsMaintain Finning Customer Service CommitmentVarious related duties as required**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement**Specific Skills & ExperienceInterprovincial Journeyperson Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) CertificationMinimum of 5 years’ experience repairing CAT equipmentStrong organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsCompletion, or in the process of completing all Finning S- level coursesSelf-motivated and computer literateExperience with SIS and Warranty Systems as well as a good understanding of Finning systems, would all be assetsSuccessful candidate will need to be customer orientated and motivated to meet the customer's expectationsAbility to work safely with minimal supervisionCommunicate and schedule repairs with customers. Keep customers informed of status of repairs.Important DetailsThis position will work a Monday to Friday – 5 x 2 ScheduleEvenings and weekends required based on customer needsA recent driver’s abstract is requiredPlease be advised, the successful candidate for this position will reside in Campbell RiverUnion Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
