Our talented and experienced team is committed to delivering world-class solutions to help our clients maximize production, mitigate risk and avoid costly outages, always with safety top of mind.We are committed to putting the right people, in the right place, at the right time while offering an inclusive work environment, opportunities for professional development, a competitive compensation package and excellent benefits.If you’re ready to take the next step in your career, CEDA has opportunities for youJob DescriptionCEDA is looking for Apprentice Pipefitters for our Bonnyville, AB location.What we Offer:Competitive WagesCamp accommodations providedKey Duties & Responsibilities:Assist in Installation of new mechanical equipment (, pumps, compressors, air dryers, converters, heat exchangers, relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, condensate tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, pneumatic controls, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, condensate traps)Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded jointsLiaise and collaborate with other trades, consultants and suppliersCleans condensate traps and equipment strainersProvides occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training.Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirementsCut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machinesMeasure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power toolsInstall supports, valves, piping and control systemsTest system for leaks using testing equipmentOther duties as assignedRole Specifications:Registered Pipefitter/Steamfitter apprentice status required1+ years of experience on shutdown events or long term maintenance at plant sites H2S Alive certificate, CSO or CSTS 2020 & Confined Space entry (ESC version) required. MUST have physical certificates onsite, no digital copies will be accepted.First Aid, fall arrest and AWP certifications are all considered an assetClass 5 driver’s license (GDL not accepted) able to provide an abstract with no more than 5 demerits in last 5 yearsAbility to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible mannerReceptive to change - can adapt to changing circumstancesAbility to lift and manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs. for 50 feet is requiredAble to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test, booked by CEDAAdditional InformationThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
