If you love working with students, enjoy teaching language skills, and want to help others build their academic confidence, this position is perfect for you. Position Overview: As a Teacher-Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will have the opportunity to work with Elementary students in reading, writing, math and French and/or with High School students in math (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English. Our Teacher-Tutors do not have to worry about lesson planning, as all lessons are pre-planned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods, allowing you to focus on what you do best – teaching Position Requirements Availability during after-school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm) Commitment through to the end of the 2025-26 school year (June 30th), with the possibility of continuing through the summer In-person instruction No relocation package provided Ability to commute to the designated location Mandatory vulnerable sector screening Education: Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field Third-year university students with tutoring experience will be considered Working towards or having a teaching certification is an asset Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum Experience: Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding The ability to teach French is also highly desired Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time Responsibilities: As an Interactive Coach, you will: Teach up to 3 students at a time in Elementary grades or up to 2 students at a time in grades 10-12 Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times (create a fun learning environment) Smiles, High-Fives & Happy Students: In this role, you will help students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem.
