We are proud of our long-standing partnerships with family-owned Canadian chicken farmers to produce high quality products.Role:Responsible for monitoring employee GMP compliance and product quality specification compliance of the raw materials, intermediate products and finished products. This position involves 90% on-floor inspection and 10% reporting. Schedule: Night Shift - 11:30pm - 8:00amResponsibilities:Perform daily monitoring and verification tasks as outlined in the HACCP program and recommend corrective actions for deviationsResponsible for Pre-Operational inspections, perform equipment sanitation verification and maintain environmental sanitation recordsMonitor and identify any product, processes or equipment that are not within acceptable tolerances and respond with immediate corrective actionMonitoring inbound and outbound product qualityAssist in facility (interior and exterior) GMP inspectionsVerifies label compliance and packaging tare weightsMonitor CCPs and record resultsInitiate and enforces: ingredient, packaging or product QC Holds when neededMonitors temperature and chemical concentration of sanitation systemsMaintain ongoing company compliance with all applicable regulations and third party audit requirementsParticipate in preparation for Third Party and Internal auditsProvide support and coaching to employees and production management to maintain and improve facility QA practices and procedures Perform data entry and data analysis tasksHelp in collecting samples for shelf life and other special projects. Help in collecting data and reporting.Participate in projects and meetings with the goal of improving food safety and food qualityAssist in the implementation of changes that advance QA systems and/or programsPerform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance ManagerRequirements:Possession of High School Diploma, experience in similar quality control roles are preferredExcellent Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook, etc.) Excellent technical writing skillsGood understanding of QA systemsBasic knowledge in HACCP, SFCR and GFSIGood communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail, high level of accuracy and a sense of urgencyAbility to work in a fast paced environment Excellent Organizational skills, attention to detail, keen and quick learner Experience in a food processing facility is an assetPossess positive attitude and professional approach with the willingness to learn and improve Ability to work independently or part of a team and get things done with minimal supervision#IND2 #LI-SJAt Sunrise Farms we are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
