With exciting projects and developments in the works, our next Assistant Superintendent will have the opportunity to greatly impact our facility and grow their career.WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO1.Golf Course Maintenance and UpgradesOversee turf nutrient programs, pesticide applications, irrigation practices, and cultural practices.Maintain optimal condition of the golf course greens, bunkers, fairways, and practice facility.Oversee the property maintenance and aesthetic, conducive to a championship facility.Assist in the preparation and management of the operating budget and five-year capital plan.Coordinate golf course improvement projects.2.Team Member DevelopmentRecruit, coach, train and supervise the Grounds Maintenance Team to optimum performance while ensuring their safety.Develop and engage the Team with the GolfBC Vision.Ensure the Team is scheduled effectively, and payroll is completed on time.3.Guest ExperienceMaintain course conditions that exceed Guest expectations.Ensure the Team is knowledgeable and able to answer Guest questions.WHAT YOU BRINGA minimum of 4 years of experience in a turf management role is preferred.Post-secondary education in turf maintenance; preferred but not required.An understanding of the golf course environment and industry.Strong computer skills, technologically sound, up to date with the latest industry trends.Experience with irrigation systems, water management, IPM, and construction projects.Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to think fast and react quickly with a calm mind.Expression of our Core Values:Be Real: Communicate with honesty, openness, and respectOwn It: Take responsibility and show passionBring Your Best: Provide new ideas and seek opportunities for growthSucceed Together: Show compassion; appreciate uniquenessWHAT WE OFFER$60,000 - $75,000 prorated base salary (based on experience)9-12 month working season, negotiable based on experienceOn-site housing option available.Extended health and dental benefits, 100% employer paid10 days paid vacationAccess to FREE GOLF at all GolfBC FacilitiesContinued education and association dues (BCGSA and CGSA)Discounts on meals and golf shop merchandiseRegularly scheduled team social eventsCareer growth and training opportunitiesWorking for a company that strives to give its Team Members a world-class experience; Join us in living our Purpose:To enrich lives and inspire connection
