Job Summary As part of Teck’s Management Operating System (MOS) program, we are seeking a skilled Training Specialist to design onboarding and educational materials. The ideal candidate must be familiar with learning theories and instructional design models. This position will be a mix of assessing learning needs and content development, working closely with our MOS program team. They will be responsible for developing training materials that are engaging and captivating while keeping a strong graphic design aesthetic and aligning with our corporate brand guidelines. This is an initial 12-month contract to start with possibility of extension based on budget and business needs. Develop your career with one of Canada's Top 100 Employers and join our team Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and proceduresDesign training materials for MOS program.Design role-based onboarding for site roles.Tailor learning materials for a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.Develop engaging online learning experiences that incorporate interactive elements and practice application.Build learning environments where participants can show proficiency and apply knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios.Measure and evaluate trainee performance against the training objectives.Provide status on training by issuing reports.Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications At least 3 years’ experience in mining or related industry or experience with a Management Operating System program.Minimum of 8 years demonstrated training design experience.Proficient in course development software such as Articulate Storyline.Proficiency with video capture and editing software such as iMovie, Camtasia, Canva, or other similar tools.Considerable digital literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office / M365 applications.Deep attention to detail with the ability to maintain and ensure accuracy.
