As part of our team, you'll contribute to sustaining this safety-first environment, where speaking up and driving positive changes are not just encouraged but expected. Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Supervisor, the Journeyperson Instrumentation Mechanic is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and compliant instrument operations.Key Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.Install and calibrate instruments used for measurement and control in production.Repair and maintain process control field instrumentation.Troubleshooting of instrumentation devices.Perform in a team-orientated environment with various trades.Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment. Qualifications Journeyperson Instrumentation Mechanic with Interprovincial Red Seal EndorsementHigh School Diploma, General Education Development (GED), or equivalentMinimum 4 years’ experience in an industrial environment preferably in miningValid Driver’s LicenseExperience with control systems, DCS and PLC experience would be a definite asset.Strong interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust be willing to work shift work Pay Range: CAD $56.61 per hour Working Conditions:Location: Highland Valley Copper is a 50-minute drive from Kamloops, which has all of the comforts of city living and is also close to Merritt, Ashcroft, and Logan Lake, which all exude a small town community atmosphere.Access: This is a drive-in/drive-out role.
