ABOUT THE POSITION
The In-Suite Project Coordinator Co-op role is responsible for coordinating the suite renovation and turnover program including, resourcing, project management, analysis and documentation across our portfolio of multi-residential buildings. To identify opportunities to capitalize on project synergies and for avoiding project conflicts. The individual must recognize the high importance of communication, meeting deadlines and quality of construction set by the manager to ensure timely completion of projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning
With direction from Operations & In-Suite – define scope of work for each turnover suite Identify priorities, time limitations, budget & quality Obtain quotes and obtain approvals Maintain track analysis as requiredImplementation:
Establish and coordinate documented project/work schedules to ensure each suite is delivered on time Provide regular status reports of project milestones and make adjustments to schedules as required Coordinate and ensure required projects is performed according to criteria Ensure the cost-effective management of all processes related to the projects including site access, on-floor raw material, work in process, and finished components Manage internal and external resources to achieve project objectives Maintain compliance of departmental operating procedures within Hazelview Properties, including obtaining necessary approvals, managing change and reporting on cash flow requirementsEvaluation:
Perform regular documented reviews, maintain daily progress reports and issue updates to affected parties Continuously improve cost reduction initiativesJOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
Co-op program requirement, as a part of post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or related. Experience in financial reporting preferred A motivated, data-savvy individual with a focus on Real Estate, Property Management and Construction Knowledge of building systems an assetQualifications:
Excellent communication is required. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills Strategic thinking and decision-making skills Driven and self-motivated individual Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Yardi would be an asset - a high degree of proficiency in Excel is required Superior organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills Ability to speak other languages is considered an asset Actively championing diversity, equity and inclusion to create an environment of belongingTravel:
Regular travel to various project sites is expected Access to personal vehicle is required Level G license is requiredABOUT THE COMPANY
