Journeyman Electrician

Civeo is recruiting for the skilled and results driven Electrician to work in our well-equipped facility in Acheson, AB. Being a certified trade person, the Electrician will provide construction, maintenance, repair services, and work with contractors as required. They will install, alter, repair and maintain electrical systems designed to provide heat, light, power, control, signal or fire alarms for modular types of buildings and other structures and premises. The incumbent must follow applicable building codes focusing on safety, quality and accuracy of work and shall be adaptable to changing roles within the function. The work schedule is 5 days on and 2 days off, Monday to Friday. This is a full-time, hourly position.Responsibilities:Conduct new construction, maintenance and repair work in the assigned facility and the included infrastructureInstall, maintain, and repair lodge infrastructure, including machinery, equipment, electrical, mechanical, heating, and plumbing systemsSet up machines and equipmentConduct preventive maintenance programs, which includes following schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenancePhysically perform facility and equipment inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standardsRead and interpret drawings, corresponding building codes and specifications for existing installations to ensure technical information is current and in compliance with project requirements and legislative standardsTroubleshoot technical problems, ensure their resolution and recommend solutions to improve maintenance operationsEnsure that assigned projects are completed as scheduledSupport other trades on the projectSpecific tasks may include:Install underground wiring and cablesInstall, replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxesSplice, join and connect wiresTest and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuitsTroubleshoot and isolate faultsQualifications:Certified Journeyman Electrician. Red Seal certification is required for trades out of province. Experienced Apprentice Electrician, Year 3-4 will be consideredMinimum 5 years of directly related construction experience in residential, commercial and light industrial constructionValid class 5 driver’s license with clean 5-year driving abstractSpecialized knowledge and experience working with HVAC and kitchen equipmentMust have Fall Protection (OSSA), Confined Space/Monitoring (OSSA), Elevated Work Platform, CSTS, First Aid Standard with CPR, Electrical Safety Training System (ESTS), which includes Arc Flash, Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tag Out)Ability to work physically and regularly lift to 50 lb.Ability to work independently and as a part of a teamAttention to details, accuracy and strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to multi-task and effectively manage time to meet required project deadlinesAbility to interact co-operatively and professionally with customers and co-workersStrong focus on safety, quality of work and environmental awarenessWe are dedicated to employment equity and continuously strive to enhance our diversity and inclusion practices, fostering a respectful and collaborative workforce.
