What you’ll do: The Hardware Supervisor will perform a variety of responsibilities in the operation, ensuring alignment with our Core Values and Brand.Understanding and following Westview Co-op’s Health and Safety Program and promoting a culture of safety Providing professional, people-first, service to our Members and Guests and living by our Brand expectations through our “You’re at Home Here” motto Lead the direction for Team Members in all areas including Performance Management, Talent Development. Engagement, Talent Acquisition, Orientation & OnboardingResponsible for overall safe, effective operations of the Hardware Department. This includes but is not limited to scheduling, ensuring orders are placed, Brand Standards, etc.Operating our point-of-sale terminals as requiredGeneral Merchandising and delivery of productAccurate ordering and receiving of productWorking with CASMS (Computer Assisted Shelf Management)Ensure a high level of store image in line with our Brand expectationsOther projects and assignments as required This position requires the use of equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and stock carts, as well as heavy lifting of product up to 50lb unassisted. Candidates will demonstrate the following: Previous supervisory experience is an assetPrevious Hardware experience is an assetUnderstanding of our Values (Integrity, Community, Teamwork)Professional, people-first, Guest service skills Strong attention to detail as well as organizational and interpersonal skillsQuality communication skills Ability to work effectively with othersAbility to lift up to 50lbs unassistedA valid class 5 license is required.
