Job Summary The MRI Technologist is a member of the patient care team, who, in collaboration with other health care professionals provides shockingly excellent patient care through their technical expertise. Skills & Abilities • Diploma/Degree in Medical Radiation Technology from an accredited educational institution• Registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario, CMRTO with specialization in Magnetic Resonance Imaging, MRT. (MR)• Member of the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS)• 3-5 years MRI experience preferred• Safety awareness, including MR safety • 3 Tesla MRI experience considered an asset• Excellent knowledge of cross sectional anatomy• Competent in injecting contrast and inserting IVs is required• Point of Care Creatinine iStat training an asset • Central Venous Access training through SOLs an asset• Demonstrated ongoing continuing education• Demonstrates excellence in communication, both written and verbal• Analysis / problem assessment• Innovative and willing to learn• Commitment to customer service and teamwork• Demonstrates individual leadership skills• Proven ability to attend work regularly as per the Attendance Support Policy #HA30 and Procedure #HA35.• Demonstrated ongoing continuing education• Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal• Demonstrated problem assessment skills• Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork• Demonstrated individual leadership skills Regular and reliable attendance is an expected requirement of this position.
