At B&W you'll find interesting and challenging work, career growth opportunities, a competitive benefits package, and a great work environment.B&W Canada is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the role in its construction business as an intermediate Project Manager/Project Engineer.Highly supportive work environment focused on diversity, equity and inclusion.Vacation policy focused on fostering a productive work / life balanceComprehensive compensation package, health and dental benefits and pension and savings plansEmployee and Family Assistance ProgramGreat team EnvironmentOpportunity to travel for the company and work in other areas of the countryEducational opportunities though courses dedicated to product knowledge and job skill improvementSocial eventsMentorship and training when onboarded and throughout your careerJob Description SummaryThe intermediate Project Manager will work in the regional office reporting to the Regional Construction Manager.The successful candidate will manage mechanical construction type projects in an industrial environment (Oil and Gas, Pulp and Paper, Mining, Power Generation and Environmental Controls Technology).Specific DutiesWork within a unionized construction environment managing projects valued in the range of $50,000-$5MInterface with customers developing business opportunities to sustain or grow the construction businessWorks with other project managers, safety and quality representatives, unionized superintendents and unionized craft (tradespeople) to execute construction work in industrial environmentsEstimate, schedule, plan construction work packages and proposals in conjunction with the Regional Managers and Superintendents.Complete project costing, pricing and submittal of proposal to customers and B&W sales personnelSupports and enforces all company safety policies and proceduresCommunicates project status to financial and schedule support team and senior management (when required)Works with Project Management Office to implement consistent project management processes, procedures, tools and methodsDrives project risk management and mitigation through strict governance processes and proceduresPerform regular project assessments & audits of projectsEvaluates aspects of project operational costs and works towards reducing costs and expenses where possible without sacrificing safety or qualityProvides on-site project management upon award of contractIs the on-site Company representative with regards to craft issues and adherence to associated collective agreementsThrough personal example and leadership, maintains company reputation for outstanding client service and project qualityEducation and/or Relevant ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field, or a minimum of 5 years of experience as an on-site Project ManagerDemonstrable knowledge of commercial construction trades and proven experience in both project management and estimating disciplinesExperience in managing large projects involving engineering, procurement, and constructionFamiliarity with scheduling tools such as MS ProjectFamiliarity with Microsoft office applicationsQualificationsCandidate RequirementsFamiliarity with Industrial equipment, piping, tanks, pressure vessels, boilers and steam generating equipmentMust have and maintain a valid driver’s licenseMust be able to work according to our customers schedules which may include weekends / after hours.Must be able to wear proper PPE for the jobPreferred Skills and CompetenciesAbility to work as a team member on projects with an aptitude for problem solvingOrganized and detail orientedAble to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilitiesPositive presence and effective communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently, self-starter, and motivatorPrimary Location:CA-NB-Saint JohnWork Locations:Saint John, NB Canada (100)479 Rothesay AveSaint JohnE2J 2C6Job:Project ManagementOrganization:ConstructionJob Posting:Jan 12, 2026Remote Status:Hybrid
