Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will perform the following functions:
Inspects rail cars and its components in accordance with the railway and company standards. Perform periodical, on demand or preventative inspections on railcar structures, frame, security components and others. Installs and repairs railway material, such as compressors, pneumatic systems, and others. Use of manual, electric and welding tools. Prepare inspection reports, for maintenance and repair, using approved spreadsheet which are in conformity to company standards. Assist with locomotive servicing and repair. Performs all other related tasks.General Requirements:
Must possess a high school diploma. Experience or a diploma in electro mechanics is an asset. A valid CWB welder card is preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license. Ability to adapt to changing situations: working hours, service calls, overtime, tasks to accomplish, outside of the work location, etc. Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.Other working conditions: Vacation, benefits and paid holidays are based on the company's policies.
