Basic FunctionPetro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company, located in Mississsauga, Ontario is seeking a temporary full-time Inventory Analyst for a 14 month contract. Reporting to the Manager, Production Planning and Inventory Controls this position is responsible for maintaining inventory continuity of finished products, additive and packaging components in SAP for Lubeplex critical to keep operations running and to controllers for financial reporting accuracy.  Key deliverables are the reconciliation of inventories, expiry date audits for additives, inventory accuracy in SAP, KPM reporting, and the analysis / reporting of trends. This position is also responsible for leading the development and execution of improvement initiatives to achieve and sustain flawless loss control practices.Job DutiesEnsure inventory transactions are accurately recorded on a timely basis in compliance with company policiesComplete inventory reconciliations at Lubeplex and/or third party manufacturing sites on a monthly schedule and when required co-ordinate and lead the investigation and correction of inventory imbalances with appropriate internal and external stakeholdersLead the investigation to reduce losses at Lubeplex by working with operations personnel, supply chain, suppliers and managementResponsible for inventory accuracy and effective inventory management practices for 3rd party service provider locationsCoordinate and complete additive expiry date audits for Lubeplex and at sub-contractor locationsImplement continuous improvements from investigations of inventory inaccuraciesParticipate in process improvement opportunities by working independently and collaborating with internal and external stakeholdersPresentations on Lubeplex inventory adjustments to upper management on a quarterly basisBack up the other Inventory Analyst for vacation coverage and support of other investigationsPerform good receipts for railcar additives and skus that go to Sylvite warehouseAssists in internal and external auditsSupport ad hoc project(s) as requiredCoordinate material changes related to master data (density, unit of measurement) is properly set up in SAPMonitor activities for obsolete material for consumption or disposal by operations or at vendor locations Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretionExperienceAdvanced computer skills including Excel, SAP, Power Point, WordKnowledge of manufacturing SAP processes is a strong assetGood understanding of business goals and objectivesExperience in detailed analysis and investigation into inventory reconciliation problems, recommend action and/or lead changeExperience leading improvement initiativesExcellent presentation skillsEducation LevelPost-secondary education Required SkillsHigh degree of accuracy, detailed orientedSelf-starter with strong organizational skills to ensure deadlines are metStrong problem solving / analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsNon-authoritative leadership skillsProcess improvement mindsetQuestioning attitude, challenge the status quoWork ConditionsPosition is primarily within an office environment but does involve frequent interaction with other manufacturing departments within the Lubeplex and Accounting areas.Extensive amounts of time working on a computer is a requirement.Daily calls for assistance from other departments can result in time management challenges and related stress in managing multiple priorities and timelines.Occasionally strong odours emitted from the (working) environment can cause headachesThis is a temporary full-time contract for approximately 14 months in lengthOur One HF Sinclair Culture:At HF Sinclair, we are united through our One HF Sinclair Culture, which is underpinned by our five core values of Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Ownership and Inclusion.
