The Drama & Screen Studies Program at Mount Allison University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Screen Studies. We seek a candidate with a PhD in Screen Studies (or relevant area) and a demonstrated record of leadership experience as well as a strong teaching and research profile who can lead the continued growth and development of Screen Studies. The ideal candidate will have experience in curriculum development, administrative tasks, and collaboration with other programs and disciplines. We are particularly interested in candidates with teaching and research interests in adaptation studies and the practical application of Screen Studies (such as screenwriting). The yearly teaching load will be five semester courses at the undergraduate level in total (3+2 or 2+3) and it will include SCRN 1001 Introduction to Screen Studies. Responsibilities will include undergraduate teaching, program development, student supervision, committee work as assigned, and maintaining an active research, creative, and/or professional profile. The appointment will be made at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor and will commence on July 1, 2026 (subject to budgetary approval). The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing Screen Studies as a destination program and in aligning it with the University’s strategic priorities of innovation, sustainability, and community building.
