Position Summary BCIT’s School of Health Sciences is seeking temporary, part-time, casual clinical instructors to join our Nephrology Nursing Specialty team.We provide innovative education through leadership, scholarship, and collaboration, to advance excellence in Specialty Nursing practice in the global healthcare environment.We aspire to be integral to improved health outcomes for all people requiring specialized nursing care: provincially, nationally, and globally. Duties & Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide excellent learning and teaching experiences for students through innovative simulation and clinical learning experiences at BCIT Burnaby campus and clinical site locations throughout the lower mainland and BC. Provide excellent distance on-line education. Collaborate with stakeholders to support a high quality learning environment. Contribute to and support a healthy, collegial and scholarly work environment through professional practice and professional development. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Five years recent relevant clinical experience in Nephrology Nursing Specialty. Current hemodialysis experience required. Experience in chronic kidney disease management and home dialysis experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in nursing education, mentorship, coaching and/or providing orientation preferred. Advanced Specialty Nursing Certificate or CNA Certification- CNeph © preferred. Must possess a participatory, learner-centered philosophy. Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Active practising BCCNM registration- license. Computer literacy required.
