You’ll help with tasks such as cash management and credit reviews, assisting in preparing corporate tax returns, drafting note disclosures for external financial reports, and conducting competitor research. This well-rounded placement provides broad exposure to corporate finance functions and helps build a strong foundation for a career in accounting or finance.This position is part of ENMAX’s 16-week Summer Student Program (2026). ENMAX invests in future talent by providing real project experience and mentorship. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a relevant post-secondary program and returning to school after the summer term.Major Responsibilities:Perform daily cash management tasks and assist with cash reporting and credit checks in the Treasury groupHelp gather and organize data needed for corporate tax filings and compliance in the Tax groupAssist with compiling financial data and documentation for external financial reporting including the consolidated financial statements and management discussion and analysisConduct competitor and market research to support strategic planning and corporate development initiativesEducation Required: Currently enrolled in a Finance, Accounting, Business, or related degree program and returning to full-time studies following the work term. Qualifications & Experience:Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to accuracy in financial dataGood communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams across the organizationProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for financial analysis and documentationBasic understanding of financial statements and budgeting processesExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail when handling various tasks and deadlinesCompetencies:Works safelySpeaks and writes clearly, listens effectively and conveys messages with transparencyActs with integrity and takes accountability for actionsConsistently applies good judgement and learns from past experienceCarries out excellence and pride in accomplishmentsPromotes an environment that is respectful, inclusive and celebrates diversityEnsures a solid understanding of ENMAX’s strategy and contributes to the visionENMAX Values: Safety, Integrity, Accountability, Service, Teamwork, Agility, InnovationDid we mention the ENMAX Advantage?
