Our team focuses on the pricing and issuance of exotic derivative products and competitor monitoring for sales and trading.The Associate will play a key role in enhancing and scaling our platform - the core P&L engine serving as the central hub for traders, sales, and structurers, enabling real-time pricing, issuance, and revenue generation. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge financial engineering, advanced programming, and front-office interaction.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the design and development of a robust, scalable pricing and issuance platform for exotic options and structured productsCollaborate with trading, sales, and structuring teams to resolve pricing and operational issues and improve workflowsPerform competitor analysis and pricing comparisons to ensure competitiveness in the marketIdentify opportunities to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance system performanceParticipate in code reviews, testing, and deployment of platform enhancementsKnowledge and SkillsSolid understanding of equity structured products and basic financial instrumentsFamiliarity with derivatives pricing theory and financial engineering conceptsStrong grasp of database design and data management principlesKnowledge of probability, statistics, and numerical optimization methods is a plusStrong foundation in computer science concepts and systems programmingAdvanced programming skills in C#, Python, and experience with Flask, React JS, SQLDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders (trading, sales, structuring)Experience / Education2–4 years of professional experience in capital markets, preferably in structured products, derivativesUndergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other computing disciplinesMaster’s degree and/or professional designation (CFA, FRM) is an assetWhy Join UsWork on a front-office team that directly impacts trading and client solutionsGain exposure to exotic derivatives and structured products in a dynamic environmentCollaborate with a high-performing team at the cutting edge of capital markets fintechThe starting salary for this role is $120,000 CAD (subject to the candidate meeting the specific skills, experience, education, and qualification requirements).Salary:Pay Type: SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
