Responsibilities
• Inspection of Mechanical Parts:
o Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming mechanical parts.
o Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gages.
o Verify that parts meet the provided incoming inspection plan.
• Inspection of PCBAs:
o Inspect PCBAs according to IPC-A-610 standards. (training will be provided)
o Identify and document any defects or non-conformities.
o Use magnification tools, X-ray machine and other inspection equipment as necessary. (training will be provided)
• Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
o Generate inspection reports and communicate results.
• Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with Quality engineers to address quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
o Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, supply chain and production, to resolve any outstanding priorities.
o Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
• Education:
o High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
o Experience with inspecting metal parts and PCBAs is highly desirable.
o Experience using Microsoft Excel Sheets, Word document and Outlook.
o Experience in using SAP – ERP system is an asset.
• Skills:
o Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
o Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards is an asset.
o Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
o Good communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during inspections.
• Good manual dexterity and visual acuity.
