About the roleWe’re looking for a Underwriter I or intermediate to join our growing Contract Surety teamWhat you’ll do here:Compare the company's product offering to the competition.Gather market intelligence by working directly with distribution, brokers and customers.Help to explore new growth and profitability opportunities through technical research, market analysis, and strong relationship building.Effectively manage complex new business, renewals, and handle referrals from team members,Relying on your expertise in underwriting, offer guidance to colleagues and support distribution underwriters on complex risksBe present in the market, participating in broker visits, industry functions and marketing eventsSupport with product development, helping shape the future of our offeringContribute to strategy development and lead by example to help drive performanceInspire innovation by bringing fresh thinking and creative solutions to help our team thriveWhat you bring to the table:Minimum of 2 years experience in Contract SuretyUniversity degree/College diploma or any combination of equivalent education and experienceStrong analytical skills with the ability to research, investigate and analyze information.Highly organized, with the ability to work towards our purpose while adapting to change in a fast-paced environmentProven ability to stay focused and adaptable through changing priorities and shifting market conditionsComfortable engaging across all levels of the organization with confidence and respectHigh level of integrity and accountabilitySelf-starter with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with a teamExcellent written and oral communication skillsAdvanced computer skills in Excel, Word & PowerPointNo Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.#LI-HybridCe poste jouera un rôle essentiel au sein de notre équipe. | This position will fill an essential role in our team.
