Now, we’re looking for a Footwear Buyer to take ownership of this critical category and shape the next chapter of our story. About the Role: As a Buyer at Rebel Sport, you’ll manage a diverse footwear range and create assortments that excite customers. You’ll negotiate with top suppliers, work with planners and the Merchandise team, and make sure Kiwis get the best footwear at the right price - all while driving sales and keeping Rebel Sport ahead of the game. What You’ll Do: Own the Footwear Category: Source, develop, and manage product assortments that align with customer needs and market trends. Build Supplier Partnerships: Build strong partnerships with local and international suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and exclusivity. Drive Performance: Drive category performance through effective buying strategies, margin management, and promotional planning. Lead on Trends: Stay ahead of footwear trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to inform buying decisions. Inventory Control: Work closely with planners to ensure the right stock levels, minimising overstock or gaps in supply. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal teams, including Marketing and Retail Operations, to bring footwear products to market successfully. What You’ll Bring: Proven experience in buying or category management (footwear experience is highly desirable). Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving sales and profitability. Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to build strong supplier relationships. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, trends, and market insights. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. A love for sport and understanding of what motivates customers. Flexibility for frequent international travel. Why Join Rebel Sport?
