You’ll work on impactful projects and turn ideas into reality while enjoying growth opportunities, teamwork, and a balanced work-life.Position OverviewThe incumbent of the position has the responsibility of ensuring the effective estimation of costs, selection, negotiation and management of suppliers and subcontractors to meet program requirements in line with CAE’s commercial practices while mitigating CAE’s risk.Key Duties/Responsibilities:Cultivate potential supplier relationships. Prepare, issue and follow-up precise Request for Quotations (RFQ) for large and complex subcontract programsWork with Solutions group to establish competitive procurement solutions and help drive and evaluate make-buy options. Also, lead establish and maintain the competitive landscape with respect to Data, Parts and Equipment (DP&E) procurement, and to evaluate risksLead commercial evaluation of subcontractors’ proposal with multi-disciplinary team composed of specialists from engineering, software, project management as applicableNegotiate subcontract agreements within technical scope, schedule and budget allocation including flowdown of specific Program Terms and Conditions (SOW and T&Cs)Draft subcontracts agreements in line with the company commercial guidelines, such agreements which may include complex licensing arrangementsMonitor subcontractor’s progress and performance to ensure the timely and complete delivery of the procured goods & services in conformity conform to the technical and commercial requirementsExercise state remedies, as appropriate, where subcontractor’s performance is deficient and Lead disputes resolution in a timely mannerWork closely with procurement team to develop and implement improvement opportunities in support of organizational goals & strategiesManage budget and provide reports to Senior ManagementRequired Skills & ExperienceThe ideal candidate would have prior experience (5-10 years) in Project Management, Project Engineering, Proposal Solutions Management or Contracts ManagementUniversity degree in Engineering, Legal or Business Administration.Strong on-hand knowledge and experience in international purchasing practices, contracts and dispute resolutionExperience negotiating with sole-source suppliers is an asset, as well as dealing with major aerospace OEMsKnowledge of aerospace simulation industry and strong technical background with experience in SoftwareAbility to work under operational pressure and short deadlines is mandatoryWork requires willingness to travel and to work flexible scheduleGood organizational skills and the ability to work self-directed in order to prioritize work to meet deadlinesExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse groups of individuals and disciplinesHighly motivated, self-managed individual able to work with little direct oversightExcellent verbal and written communications skillsKnowledge of standard procurement tools (ERP system) will be an assetAre you looking for a work environment where you can innovate, reach greater heights and collaborate with experts from a wide range of sectors?
