You're able to leverage your creative talent, extensive knowledge, and attention to detail to create an exceptional product for our homebuyers. You are creative, motivated, and enjoy collaborating with team members while contributing to a positive company culture. Your organizational skills are out of this world, and just like everyone else at Shane Homes, you take your work seriously, but you don't take yourself too seriously.We would love it if you had these too:Minimum 5+ years residential drafting experience in the Canadian Construction Industry.Working experience using AutoCAD.A basic understanding of Alberta Building Codes and Land Use By-laws.Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.A basic understanding of residential construction processes, building materials and permitting processes.An upbeat, friendly and positive attitude with the ability to contribute to the positive organizational culture. Here's What Your Day-To-Day Could Look Like:Work on various types of residential properties, including single-family homes, zero lot line homes, paired homes, and row houses.Create new and detailed construction plans as needed.Review and update contract documents and make customer-requested changes to standard plans.Understand and apply architectural control guidelines.Effectively communicate any changes or errors to Area Managers.Prepare custom working drawings and plot plans for customer homes.Provide complete work order packages for estimators.Stay updated on architectural and interior design trends and contribute innovative ideas to Shane Homes.
