The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $25.75 This position may also be eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP). AIP amounts are variable and are dependent on both company and team performance, subject to eligibility criteria. The target bonus percentage for this role is 4% of annual base earnings. Join Our Team as a Machine Operator (Job Shop) S&C is continuing to grow. Where do you come in? We are seeking a talented Machine Operator who is passionate about innovation and, within their field of expertise, enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team, while being committed to helping us become a leader in our industry. Key Responsibilities: Set up, adjust and operate CNC machine ( Saw Metal cutting) according to work orders and specifications with minor programming. Use manual pump trucks, cranes (overhead/jib) and lift devices as required to move material and finished product(s). Monitor machine operation and troubleshoot issues as needed Ensure parts are manufactured in accordance with quality standards, target plans, and verify correct run quantities. Visually inspect parts after each machine cycle and perform inspections as required. Optimize the running of parts to best take advantage of the machine’s operating time. Fill out production boards with output for the shift, as well as assisting in planning the afternoon shift production. Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and follow organizational practices Who are we looking for? Someone who has: High school diploma 1 year of experience as a CNC Machine Operator Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment The ability to read and interpret blueprints and use callipers, micrometres, go no-go gauges, etc. Excellent mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to lift up to 22 lbs. Physical demands:  Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking. Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs to 20 lbs. Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1km). Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 20 lbs. Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs. Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs. Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes. Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees. Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 20 lbs.
