Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:Complete deliveries and pick-ups promptly in Cranbrook and the surrounding area, adhering to scheduled routes and timeframesPerform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulationsOperate vehicles safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and company policiesMaintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery information using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper handling of goods and materialsSecure cargo properly using appropriate tie-downs, straps, or other securing devicesCommunicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team membersProvide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during deliveries or pick-upsMaintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside the cab and the cargo areaReport any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnelAssist in route planning and optimization when necessaryComply with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelinesParticipate in ongoing training and safety meetings as requiredBe flexible with working hours, as shifts run from 6 AM to 4 PM daily, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility requiredRepresent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a positive attitude and appearanceQualificationsValid Class 1 licenseMinimum 1 year of experience in commercial drivingPhysically fit and able to lift and handle heavy itemsReliable and dependable with excellent time management skillsTDG, WHMIS, and Forklift experience are an assetMust be able to provide a criminal record check, driver's abstract, and 2 work-related referencesClean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 yearsExcellent knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns in Cranbrook and surrounding areasStrong safety consciousness and adherence to all transportation regulationsProficient in using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanorAbility to work flexible hours as neededBasic mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle inspections and minor troubleshootingAdditional InformationWhat do we offer you?
