Intermediate Software Developer

If so, this would be a great opportunity for youOur client is looking for an Intermediate Software Developer for a 4 month contract in Toronto.This is a hybrid role.Advantages• Earn a competitive rate within the industry.• Hybrid - From October 20, 2025, the candidate is required to work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day from homeFrom January 5, 2026, the candidate is required to work onsite 5 days a week fully.• Potential for extension.Responsibilities• Designing, developing and implementing front end code including user interface interactions and creating attractive and effective user interfaces• Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications. This includes developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.• Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations.QualificationsMust Have:• Experience with React Native framework for cross-platform mobile app development (iOS and Android).• Hands on experience with developing Mobile Apps• Knowledge of Android SDK, iOS SDK, and platform-specific APIs.• Familiarity with native modules and bridging between React Native and native code (Objective-C/Swift or Java/Kotlin).• Extensive experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages, user interface design.Nice to have:• Experience with App Store and Google Play Store deployment processes.General Skills• Experience in programming and analysis; specialized software package support at the specified experience level• Ability to collaborate with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle• Experience in structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications• Experience in design, code, test, debug and document applications• Experience in the use of object and/or third generation language development tools• Experience in one or more programming languages• Experience in application design, latest design patters, deployment and troubleshooting• Experience with relational and hierarchical database technologies• Experience in the use of information retrieval packages using query languages• Experience with one or more communications protocols• Experience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications• Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines Front End Skills• Knowledge and experience coding and using basic artwork to deliver a complete user interface• Experience creating web interfaces for large websites.• Experienced with complex large-scale systems• Experience with Cross browser compatibility• Experience with Responsive frameworks• Experience with Social Media APIs• Experience defining product strategy and roadmap• Experience working with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities, runs beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples, and becomes an expert with respect to the competitionDesirable Skills• Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications• Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices• Experience with middleware and gateways• Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts including encoding, testing, debugging• Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve any post-implementation technical issues• Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team• Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards • Ability to provide user and system documentation as requiredSummaryIf you are interested in the Intermediate Software Developer role in Toronto, please apply online at www.randstad.ca.
