Solution Architect

The Solution Architect will provide technical leadership to ensure data integrity and consistency throughout all stages of the solution life cycle. Responsibilities Responsible for application and data migration of legacy systems (including older versions of SAP) and defining the transition approach.Define and implement the strategy and solution to support migration of legacy data into the SAP application.Identify and qualify source data to satisfy master and transactional data requirements for the SAP application.Lead data assessment and mapping activities, and architect the migration framework to extract, transform, validate, enrich, and load legacy source data.Provide technical leadership using technology platforms and tools for profiling and migrating legacy data.Plan and manage the efforts of technical developers.Establish the migration concept (data and application) including time, cost, and risk considerations.Create transition plans covering technical and organizational aspects; coordinate with stakeholders.Set up a data staging environment to support data cleansing.Lead the Data Management Workstream.Create Data Strategy, Data Cleansing Strategy, Data Migration/Conversion Strategy, Data Volume Management Strategy, and all related plans.Work with the System Integrator (SI), Leads, and internal staff to define data migration strategy and tools.Collaborate with the SI to develop ETL transformation/enrichment programs and schemas.Outline data cleansing rules according to business logic for datasets provided by data extraction specialists.Oversee data migration verification and testing activities.Coordinate data extraction from legacy systems in the format required by the SI.Ensure SI-developed tools and processes are implemented and maintained.Develop a Data Volume strategy with the SI (including configuration of archiving objects and deletion jobs). Work with Business Data Owners (Data Custodians) to define dataset structures and data usage aligned with business function requirements. Master Data Management Create Master Data change processes and tools in collaboration with business stakeholders. Ensure Master Data Management (MDM) processes support business strategy. Provide support for data management improvement initiatives. Create and enforce MDM policies and procedures. Provide requirements for the Master Data Governance strategy and plan. Define policies and tools used for Master Data Management. Assume responsibility for master data operations from the project team. Define security standards and measures for data security. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum ten (10) years of experience working on data migration projects in technically complex enterprise environments. Minimum five (5+) years of experience in a Solution Architect role. Expert knowledge of data architecture, data management, data integration, and data quality platforms and tools. Expert knowledge of at least one enterprise ETL tool. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, non-technical language for various audiences. Ability to adapt to changing and dynamically evolving situations. Strong ability to work in a team environment. Ability to lead a team of data analysts across multiple business areas. Experience communicating and presenting to senior executive management. Minimum five (5+) years of experience developing standards, principles, guidelines, strategies, and roadmaps for Master Data Management (MDM). Excellent customer service skills.
