This role is responsible for leading benefit plan management for our government plan sponsors, particularly focusing on the Client Directed HomeCare Invoicing program and the Alberta Aids to Daily Living program. The Government Health Benefits Manager will collaborate closely with the Government Health Benefits Director to innovate and deliver industry-leading plan management solutions. This position offers the opportunity to establish strong relationships with government stakeholders and contribute significantly to enhancing customer experiences within government-sponsored plans.WHAT YOU WILL DO:Collaborate with the Government of Alberta to oversee the plan management of the Client Directed Home Care Invoicing program and the Alberta Aids to Daily Living program.Manage the development of new, innovative proposals for benefit plan management of government sponsored plans.Engage with healthcare providers and associations to address issues and seek opportunities to improve care for Albertans.Keep pace with changes in the home and community care environment.Collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholder teams to develop a deep understanding of Alberta Blue Cross plan management capabilities.Seek opportunities to improve the customer experience for plan members.Develop strong rapport and relationships with government staff.WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, Nursing or a degree in a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience, with a strong understanding of health benefit plan management.Experience in health benefit plan management. A proven track record in leadership roles.Experience leading a team to move toward a common vision.Ability to assess challenges and drive innovative solutions.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the desire for continuous learning.Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service.Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Self-directed with a strong sense of accountability and resourcefulness. Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office products such as MS Access and MS Excel.This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is selected.Alberta Blue Cross® is an inclusive employer committed to a workplace that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.
